iTunes Cracked Again

iTunes anti-piracy measures have been cracked again.

US and Norwegian programmers claim that their PyMusique downloading interface is the software that does all the work. It does this by cracking the digital rights management built into iTunes.

Apple has only the past couple of days announced improvements to its software to beat PyMusique. Users had to upgrade the downloading software.

One piece of good news for Apple. Only Linux users can use the latest version.

When a song is downloaded from iTunes, Apple restricts its use. PyMusique strips out the restrictions.

Apple have not yet responded.
