WorldCom Action Settled by Banks

Four investment banks are to settle a class-action over the collapse of WorldCom in 2002.

The action centred on hiding risks at WorldCom prior to the collapse.

The New York state comptroller, Alan Hevesi said tha ABN Ambro would pay $278.4m, Mitsubishi Securities International $75m, BNP Paris and Mizuho International $37.5m each.
