British American Tobacco (BAT), has implemented pay review software. The package will be used to manage annual pay review processes.
Tool of choice is HRM Connect, a web application. The pay of over 1,500 UK based employees is affected.
Eventually Australian, South Korea and other international sites will be affected.
Previously a humble Excel spreadsheet has been used. Individual departments each had individual spreadsheets, with the relevant information.
A new password-protected intranet site has customized information relating to their group profile. Given the sensitivity of the data, the site is supposed to be secure. Proposals regarding pay are then routed automatically through the BAT approvals process.
