Civica, has won a £1m contract for e-procurement services from Hammersmith and Fulham Council.

The authority is to use Civica's Radius Financials Purchasing module. Hammersmith will be able to electronically manage the purchase-to-pay cycle. Temporary staff recruitment is an added bonus. The software will integrate with the existing Cedar E5 software.

A number of electronic and paper based systems will be replaced. Instead a single integrated electronic process will enable departments to self-invoice, raise orders, validate and reconcile costs.

The council's head of finance IT Manoj Patel said, "The council currently spends over £100m on goods and services, and we are committed to achieving tangible benefits in the short and medium term through process efficiencies and savings."
