Bernie Ebbers' trial continued yesterday. Former WorldCom financial controller David Myers was facing cross examination from the defence.
The Manhattan court heard that Ebbers had never made "an accounting decision" according to Myers.
Myers had been asked by Ebbers' lawyer, Reid Weingarten, if he'd ever known Ebbers to "make an accounting decision?".
"Not that I am aware of," replied Myers.
Myers also replied "No" to the question, "Did you ever know Mr Ebbers to make an accounting entry into Worldcom books?"
Ebbers is on trial following the collapse of the telecoms company. The charges are for fraud, all of which he denies.
His defence centres on former, CFO, Scott Sullivan. Myers, claims that he doctored the books on Sullivan's orders rather than Ebbers.
Both Myers and Sullivan have already admitted their part in the scandal. They are now helping the government prosecute the case.
The collapse of WorldCom along with Enron was the catalyst for the introduction of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
