Halting fraud and and transaction errors are behind a loss prevention system by Lloyds Pharmacies.

IntelliQ's Retailkey LP will be used to analyse electronic point of sales transactions. The software scans for suspicious transactions, possible credit card fraud and "stock shrinkage".

The company expects a 50% increase in successful fraud investigations and the technology to pay for itself in less than a year.

Infrastructure consists of client/server software running on an IBM xSeries 365 application server. An IBM database is embedded in the system.
