Tesco, the UK's largest retailer has signalled that increasing the pace of its RFID rollout. The largest ever electronic RFID readers has been placed by the company. The intention is to implement it across every store.

4,000 readers and 16,000 antennae will be used to cover dock doors and merchandise receipt points at 1,300 stores. The system should be in place by Autumn 2005.

The OAT Foundation Suite will be used to control its RFID rollo-out in nearly 2,000 sites.
